Easter Weekend 2024 - Easter Monday

Monday, April 1, 2024

When I worked at the Catholic school back in the day I always got Easter Monday off. Now not so much unless Easter Sunday is the first Sunday of Spring Break, which it was.

Sylvester watched me eat my cereal. I give him the dregs of milk left in my bowl after I finish.

Happy Easter

Service at Grace this morning.

Afterward Dale and I took Mom to brunch at Pittsburgh Blue.

I had a Bloody Mary and the corned beef hash. Mom and Dale had coffee and quiche.

Cigar this afternoon while Dale took a walk.

Watched the second half of The Ten Commandments with Dale tonight. The special FX are still pretty impressive considering the movie is almost 70 years old, especially the parting of the Red Sea.

Easter Weekend 2024 - Holy Saturday

Saturday, March 30, 2024

Lunch with Noel at Frost's. Stopped by Stogies On Grand in St. Paul afterward to pick up some cigars for the week.

Watched the first half of The Ten Commandments with Dale tonight.

Quiet evening in with Dale and Sylvester.

Easter 2022 - Happy Easter

Sunday, April 17, 2022

Stephanie sent Mom and me a picture of Abby, Xander, and Emma's Easter baskets.

Sylvester is a new addition to our family. We got him in December of 2021 shortly after losing our beloved Athena in October of 2021.

He's quite an awesome cat and can be seen here looking at squirrels and birds. He really chatters when he sees them.

He's very adorable, loveable, and soft and plush.

Easter Sunday 2022

Sunday, April 17, 2022

Dale and I attended church at Sts. Luke and James Episcopal Church over on 46th Street and Colfax Avenue. It was quite a nice service. I haven't been to church on Easter since before the pandemic began in March of 2020. The church was full and the music was lovely.

We took Mom to lunch at the Normandy Kitchen. Neither Dale nor I have been there since Gethsemane closed in November of 2019.

Quiet day otherwise and gloomy too. Could really stand some sunshine.
